Well winter is well and truly with us now and even though it is very mild it has also been very windy, never mind spring/summer 16 is not to far away and we are hoping to have a great season of diving events.

We are very pleased to welcome OWSI Dwayne Mahrer to our staff, he will be teaching along side myself and OWSI Marc Jenkins.

We also have DM Adam Kennedy who I am sure would like to get involved with DM led programs.

GREAT WHITE.

Very excited to let you know that Great White ( our boat ) is going to get a brand spanking new motor. We have decided to invest in a 4 stroke Mercury 150 HP, this will be better all round for us as we have plans to go a bit further than the east and south coast this year, look out for details on the club page. Great White will be coming out of the water very soon as the motor is now on order.

Winter Specialitys/Dry courses

Equipment Specialists.

We will be holding the PADI Equipment specialty at some point it will be a fun packed evening at DD HQ. Divers will receive the Equipment touch offline to study the theory section followed by a practical  session as I say at the shop. Again look out for cost and details coming soon.

Enriched air diver.

We will also hold a EANx Nitrox special, this is a great course. Diving with EANx extends your no stop time and is especially useful for those dive holidays.

O2 provider

As soon as we receive our new DAN O2 kit we will be launching  this brilliant specialty teaching you how to deliver oxygen in a dive emergency. Especially useful for those PADI Rescue divers.

Hi there,

We at Donkey Divers have a diving trip scheduled in August in the Isle of Man. This will be our second trip there after a hugely successful trip in 2013.  The Isle of Man is a fabulous place to dive. We will be diving with Discover Diving Michelle Haywood and Steve Cowley a very professional team. We last did a DD trip there in 2013 and it was fantastic with fabulous Drift dives especially in the Calf of Man, great wrecks like the SS Liverpool at 40m and last but certainly not least the amazing interaction with the wonderful seal population. It would be fantastic if we could fill the charter so 12 divers ( I think we already have 5 ) Not sure of full price yet as need to package the flights and accommodation but ball part figure £800 pp very approximately and well worth it. We will need a £100 deposit pp to secure your place on Endeavour and a fantastic boat she is too. We would depart Guernsey on 29-08-16 and return 05-09-16 . Voluntary Recall of Certain Recent Galileo Sol and Luna dive computers

Dear Authorized Scubapro Dealer:                                        

Johnson Outdoors Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH (JOV) has notified the competent Product Safety Authorities that it is voluntarily recalling UWATEC Galileo Luna and Sol dive computers sold in the European market beginning May 2015. This letter will provide you with information on the recall along with details on the logistics that will be used to complete the recall.

We learned from a small number of consumer communications that certain Galileo dive computers experienced screen freezes.  No injuries have been reported.  Out of an abundance of caution, and consistent with our safety-first philosophy, SCUBAPRO is voluntarily recalling dive computers with serial numbers below.  All other versions of Galileo computers can be used with confidence in the product’s quality and performance. 

The affected products are UWATEC Galileo Luna and Sol dive computers with these serial numbers:

• Galileo LUNA:    from 150422 0058 001to 150903 0338 005
• Galileo SOL:        from 150423 0202 001to 150921 0001 005

JOV is working to ensure affected computers are returned to an authorized SCUBAPRO dealer or to JOV directly. For returns within Germany, free vouchers will be sent to dealers (DHL) to have the products returned. For Returns from other Countries, dealers should contact their Customer Support Representative for instructions on how the product will be returned to JOV.  Dealers and consumers will receive free replacement units in early 2016.  

Your cooperation and assistance is critical to help ensure customers’ safety and satisfaction.  Here is what you need to do:

1. Stop the sale of the affected products immediately.
2. Check your inventory and isolate the affected dive computers identified above, which have the following part numbers:
